admin BARSYL from inception decided to be a niche consultancy firm in the Railway Sector, hence, its focus was to be a Railway Consultancy Company when they started in 1986.
They further looked at the changing needs of the sector and the country’s expanding horizons in the field of Urban Transport i.e., Metros. BARSYL did make forays into the Metro-Urban Transport sector in 2000, they stuck to their axiom “On Time on Track Always”.
The original user sectors for their Services were Steel, Power, Cement to start with Mining sector with its expansions sought their services. The company also focused very early into Port Connectivity.

The Railways are always the preferred and the most economical mode of transport, the initial phase was a focus on passenger transport and with industrialization picking pace and roads development in the late 80’s and 90’s not keeping pace the industry took initiatives for enhancing movement of freight by Rail.
Railways were keen for enhancing its revenues and stated giving focus on Freight Traffic. These were the key factors for BARSYL to maintain their focus in the Railway niche.
THE MEN BEHIND BARSYL
The company was conceived and set up by a group of 4 retired Railway officials the prime of them were Late Mr. H C Shrivastava and Late Mr. Arjun Pershad.
Presently BARSYL under the second generation is progressing and continuing the Rail focus along with expanding its horizons in the newer opportunities of High-Speed Rail, Port connectivity as well as Multi Modal Logistic Parks, Station Development along with the new Freight corridors being envisaged.

Mr. Sunil Srivastava, Managing Director of BARSYL is an industry professional with wide experience of working in the Railway System, is an Expert Marketeer, skilled at Project Management and Project Coordination.
He has been leading the organization with high level of proficiency and competence His strength in empowering young engineers and ensuring the organization keeps up with the industry demands. Mr. Srivastava is truly the backbone of the consultancy business.

Mr. Manoranjan Pershad, Director – Corporate Affairs at BARSYL using his rich experience of Industrial Marketing and with his vast experience of working with a PSU has been the guiding and supporting the team of Professional Managers.
