Alibaba International Digital Commerce Group has unveiled its pioneering artificial intelligence (AI) suite of application programming interfaces (APIs) named “Aidge.” This suite, an acronym for “AI for Digital and Global Entrepreneurship,” is designed to enhance global operations for enterprises, catering particularly to SMEs involved in global commerce.
Details on Aidge
Aidge leverages Alibaba’s proprietary large computer vision and language models, honed by profound insights into global e-commerce operations. The suite includes over 15 APIs supporting 18 languages. These APIs are structured to streamline various global commerce-related aspects, such as consumer insights, content localisation, marketing, design, and customer service.
Kaifu Zhang, Vice President of Alibaba International, emphasises that SMEs involved in global commerce confront numerous challenges including language barriers, high marketing costs, and talent shortages. Aidge aims to simplify global operations for SMEs, offering features that encompass content localisation, customer service, and marketing to boost conversion rates and operational efficiency for businesses.
Creating a Streamlined Process
Through its pilot testing phase, Aidge welcomes interested software as a service (SaaS) partners and independent service vendors (ISVs) to test and co-define its suite of APIs. The AI suite demonstrates its ability to significantly enhance order conversion, consumer satisfaction, and time efficiency for SMEs.
Aidge’s suite of APIs covers a broad spectrum:
- Consumer Insights: Offering customer feedback analysis and selling point extraction.
- Content Localisation: Facilitating product content localisation for text and images.
- Customer Service: Featuring shopping assistant chatbot, multilingual live chat, and customer service chatbot.
- Design: Providing various design templates for marketing creatives and product showcases.
- Marketing: Enabling automated search engine optimisation and marketing message generation.
Aidge also introduces AI agents to support sales conversion, customer inquiries, and request management. These agents are already in operation on e-commerce platforms managed by Alibaba International.
