The Story Behind Jensen Partners
Jensen Partners and Jensen DiversityMetrics™ was established in the year 2012. Before starting her own firm, Sasha was an investigative Journalist. During her tenure as the Head of Investigations, she discovered her talent for storytelling through data, contextualizing the scale of issues, and measuring progress.
Sasha believed that data substantiates an immediate call to action, Sasha shifted to recruiting and started her journey as the only female recruiter in the industry which was previously dominated by male recruiters.
Sasha scanned the financial services landscape and discovered an opportunity to focus on the recruitment of marketing and distribution professionals in the alternative asset management industry, at the time still in its infancy.
At present, the firm takes a data-driven approach to all mandates, leverages both quantitative and qualitative insights for its unique competitor intelligence market mapping model. This model is used to map out the entire distribution platforms for more than 600 alternative asset management firms spanning the private equity, private credit, real estate and infrastructure sectors, hedge fund and private fund placement groups. By utilizing a customized, scientific approach, proprietary 360° Investor Referencing™ methodology and advanced behavioral analytics, we aid clients in raising capital by identifying and securing the ideal human capital.

Sasha began her career as an investigative journalist. Journalism makes one find data from scratch which is then turned into an informative story that reaches across various platforms.

Sasha founded Jensen Partners on the principle that diversity is a critical and immediate need in the alternative investment space. That is when Sasha instigated Jensen DiversityMetrics™, the first enterprise software platform to empower firms to analyze hiring and retention practices.
The Immense Barriers
In 2008, at the beginning of the Great Recession, total alternative assets under management were $3.1 trillion. By 2020, assets had more than tripled to $11.5 trillion as investment firms raised ever-more funds and brought in an ever-larger share of institutional capital. Much of the credit for this growth belongs to marketing professionals, and Sasha’s focus on those marketers had positioned her at the forefront of an enormous and thriving market. Once Sasha carved out her niche, she found innovative ways to leverage her passion for data and background as an investigative journalist.
