He has worked for both an insurance company and in an insurance brokerage, however, he prefers working in a brokerage as that gives him more satisfaction. He bought 50% of the company in 2005 from his father Richard Tinianov and took over the brokerage in 2018, when his father retired. While asking about the obstacles he faced throughout the journey, Blair shared his experiences, “Being a 19-year-old teen, the biggest obstacle was the age, when he started working on his career as an insurance broker, people didn’t trust him until he showed them why they should and until now those people are still with him.” Another challenging part for Blair is retaining good staff and having customer retention. Listening to both bits helped him in achieving his goals. “Sometimes it is as simple as helping a child of a client with their first policy and sometimes it is making sure that insured are paid correctly when there is a claim.” Blair propounds.

Accomplishing the Milestones

Blair remembers one incident when a client was denied a claim and Blair spent over 4 months on that project and ended up getting coverage for the whole claim. That circumstance was the turning point for Blair as he fought to help settle the client’s claim that taught him a valuable lesson and helped him to shape his career as an insurance brokerFrom then onwards he learned the art of dealing with clients and carved a name for himself in “Best Brokerage Winner” in 2016, “Insurance Industry Employer of Choice”, finalist in 2017, and “The Winner Awards for Outstanding Claim Services”, finalist in 2017.
