Mr. Ahluwalia comes from a family of lawyers. Indeed, he is a third-generation lawyer; his father Mr. A.P.S Ahluwalia, who is a designated Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India; and his grandfather, Mr. Kuldip Singh, who was also an advocate and started practice in the pre independence era. It is this lineage of advocates that put Mr. Ahluwalia face to face with the legal world from a young age. He was fortunate enough to witness the changing landscape of litigation in India. The most famous rhetoric “right of equal access to justice for all” often fails in real life, and Mr. Ahluwalia was well aware of the fact. And even though Mr. Ahluwalia’s chamber is one of the best firms in the country, he still feels that creating a legacy like that of his father and grandfather will take quite some time.
