Adv. Prasad Vijay Kulkarni started working independently in the year 2009 after working under Adv. Shrikant Shivade (the renowned criminal lawyer). He has also appeared and argued in the Sessions and Magistrate Courts, presented bail pleas at the Sessions Court, and worked on trials both inside and outside Pune. Over the years, Adv. Inspiration Around Him
Adv. Prasad Vijay Kulkarni comes from a family with generations of lawyers. His grandfather, Adv. K. E. Kulkarni, was a leading lawyer in Solapur, and his father, Adv. Vijay K. Kulkarni, pursued law but later shifted to the banking sector. He believes to be a lawyer was already in his genes from the start. When brought up on a family consisting of lawyers, he was inspired to be one too, following in their footsteps but also striving to make a distinct mark on society. He has contributed a lot to the Indian society especially providing Justice when needed.
For him, his upbringing made all the difference. Expressing gratitude for his mother, Mrs. Rekha V. Kulkarni, he celebrates her for dedicating her life to her kids and family. He is immensely proud of his sister, Mrs. Radhika L. Oswal, for designing and executing his office and chamber designs.
Challenges of Life
In the year 2018, Adv. Prasad Vijay Kulkarni lost his father-in-law, Adv. Vinayak N. Abhyankar and had to face some challenging times. As a senior civil law advocate, who has also served as the president of the Pune Bar association, Adv. Vinayak N. Abhyankar had a significant case load. His death resulted in all his responsibilities falling upon Adv. Prasad Vijay Kulkarni. He, along with his wife Adv. Devayani P. Kulkarni, and a few other colleagues took over the case load to effectively manage the work.

Achievements
Adv. Prasad Vijay Kulkarni has conducted cases for poor people through legal aid references. Given his contributions to law, he was invited to a conference conducted by CID on need to represent the defense side on stringent laws, like UAPA and NIA. He was felicitated by the Rotary Club for “Professional Excellence Award for Contribution in Legal Profession (Criminal Laws) and has been invited by Tax Bar Association to deliver a lecture on GST Laws and its criminal repercussions. The eminent lawyer represented 300 farmers in the Wadgaon-Maval firing case and has been felicitated for the same with a testimonial of appreciation.
Advice for budding lawyers
The one and only advice Adv. Prasad Vijay Kulkarni gives is – “be honest with yourself and your profession, your integrity, hard work, focus should be defined.” He also mentions that IQ level, reading, drafting, legal research, presentation, vocabulary, oratory, manners, etiquettes differ from person to person, but honesty remains common. “The later part is to be developed towards betterment with hard work and dedication” adds Adv. Prasad Vijay Kulkarni.
Adv. Prasad Vijay Kulkarni has seen that many companies have a legal consultant on board for limited purpose and thereby they consult experts as per the requirement of the situation and such legal consultant are expected to have contacts with other lawyers in individual/firm practice in the respective area of expertise.
