Michael Jackson has been named as the Global Director – Global Travel, of Treasury Wines Estates (TWE) brand, which will be put into action from 18th September this year.
In Sydney, Jackson has wonderful experience in wines, spirits and luxury goods, as he is currently working as the Head of Independent Retail & On-Premise for Penfolds.
Jackson has come to be known as the successor of David Warren, who will move within the group to become a Sales Director for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). As Warren is based in UK, he led a shift in Penfold’s global travel strategy, Penfolds said that “substantial double-digit growth over the past two years.”
After spending 1.5 Decades in senior commercial roles, from which 1.1 decade involved in Global Travel across geographies, Jackson is now tasked with managing the growth of Penfolds Global Travel business and positioning the brand as a luxury leader in the world of wine.
The company noted that Penfolds has positioned Global Travel as a priority channel “to enable its vision of becoming a global luxury icon. With a strong focus on innovation and premiumisation, Penfolds also leverages digital strategies to accelerate the luxury showcase of the brand in travel locations that help unlock growth in the global travel space”.
