The 63rd Annual Grammy Awards 2021 Postponed to the 14th of March

The prestigious Grammy Awards ceremony now stands postponed to March, 2021. The ceremony was scheduled to take place on the 31st of January in Los Angeles. Health Crisis Related Postponement

The announcement of the show’s postponement was made by the Recording Academy and the broadcasting partner CBS. The Grammy Award ceremony is one of the highest and most notable accolades in the western music industry. The decision to postpone the 2021 ceremony further was arrived at after intense consultations with various health experts and advisors as well as musicians who are set to grace the occasion.

The joint statement released to the press as an update on the ceremony stated, “After thoughtful conversations with health experts, our host and artistes scheduled to appear, we are rescheduling the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards to be broadcast on Sunday, March 14, 2021. The deteriorating Covid-19 situation in Los Angeles, with hospital services being overwhelmed, ICUs having reached capacity, and new guidance from state and local governments have all led us to conclude that postponing our show was the right thing to do.”
