It had been almost five years and twenty-nine games since they last won such a victory in the city of Manchester United. Even though, they enjoyed this win, this season has also gone by without a win at the Old Trafford in the Premier League.
This massive win was all based on one single moment when Paul Pogba stood on Hector Bellerin’s foot inside of the area and Aubameyang managed to keep his cool in order to convert the spot kick into a victorious one.
With this win, Arsenal has now moved to the eight spot in the game with 12 points in total.
In the 21st minute of the game, Mason Greenwood forced a save out of Bernd Leno, who is the Arsenal keeper but the Gunners managed to strike back and pin United back to ground with the help of their impressive pressing in the long stages.
The united skipper Harry Maguire said that it was hard to pin point a finger on what happened. He felt that this game was a disappointment from their side. Whatever they did was not good enough and they need to work hard and gear up for the future games. The game doesn’t provide a lot of chances therefore there is absolutely no time for excuses, they have got to look deep within themselves and look for areas to improve upon.
While the Gunners celebrate their victory, the Manchester United remains winless at home for this season. Notably this was also the first defeat that they had to go through from Arsenal in the past 14 years.
This is for sure one of the most interesting seasons, new players are coming onto the field and leaving us in absolute shock. Each match is nail biting one and it remains to be seen who finally claims the throne.
