admin Courtney Love, the 48-year-old musician, posted a ‘throwback’ picture of Kurt Cobain and her from her wedding on Instagram. The picture was clicked in 1992 in Honolulu Hawai’i when Love was pregnant with their only child, daughter Frances Bean. It was a memory from just four months after these two people started dating each other.
In the early 90s, Love and Cobain were the It rock star couple. Kurt, then, was already a lead singer of Nirvana band and was famous throughout the world while Love was just coming out of the shell.
There were multiple reports of the couple being a heroin addict and drug abused. They were struggling with the addiction when in 1994, Cobain killed himself in Seattle at his home.
Love posted the picture on Monday, Feb 24th which marked the pair’s 28th wedding anniversary. She also wrote an open letter in the caption section of the picture.
She described her late husband as “an angel. I thank him for looking out for me.”
She wrote, “deeply delighted, dizzy, so in love, and knowing how lucky I was” to be with the Nirvana lead and marrying him.
She progressed with writing that “many parts of the last 28 years have been torturous [and] chaotic” after which she wrote how she survived in public. She then wrote about how amazing her husband was and her friends were. “But between Kurt’s strange amazing divinity, and the nor of a few true friends, the gift of desperation and sobriety. Of a higher power and of love, and of empathy, I’m here now.”
She is now lead for the Hole and she confessed earlier this month that she has been sober for 18 months. That night love spoke to her sponsor and lite some candles before going to dinner with the closest friend she had.
