Reid has been the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles till 2012 and then has spent the last seven years with the Kansas City. Having a career spanning 21-years, his teams had made it to 15 playoff appearances. He has to his name, as a coach, 10 division titles.
Reid was leading the Eagles in the Super Bowl of 2005 but lost to New England Patriots by 24-21.
This time though, his team overturned 10-point deficit within the last seven minutes to create history at the Hard Rock stadium.
Even the Eagles twitter handle was all praise for Andy as they tweeted: “Times’s yours, Andy.”
The 24-year old, Mahomes, became the fifth-youngest quarterback to star in the Super Bowl and the second-youngest to win it.
This is what he said about the winning effort: “We kept believing. That’s what we did all postseason. I felt like if we were down by 10, we weren’t playing our best football. They guys really stepped up. They believed in me. I was making a lot of mistakes out there early. We found a way to win it in the end.”
The Super Bowl became more memorable when Jennifer Lopez and Shakir brought the Latino twist to the stage in the halftime show.
