With HealthHub launch, UAE’s Al-Futtaim Moving into Healthcare

UAE-based Al-Futtaim has announced the launch of Al-Futtaim Health and HealthHub which will take special care of residents across the country.

The company said in a statement, over the next two years, the HealthHub roadmap includes 26 clinics launching with 10 clinics initially, day surgical centres, super-specialised centres of excellence and two hospitals, with regional and international expansion planned.

It added that HealthHub provides accessible, integrated health management supported by smart solutions.

The chairman of the board and director general of the Dubai Health Authority, Humaid Al Qutami said: “It gives us great pleasure to see large market players like Al-Futtaim investing in the private health sector of Dubai and UAE and becoming significant investors in this vital economic sector.

“This is in line with the Dubai strategic plan and the vision of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in making the health sector in the UAE one of the best in the world.”

Five out of the first 10 clinics being opened, are situated in Silicon Oasis and publicly facing, Al Warqa, Discovery Gardens, Al Qusais and International City, with more planned to go live in the coming months in Al Barsha, Jebel Ali, Al Nahda and Bur Dubai as well as in Al-Futtaim operated properties Dubai Festival City and the upcoming Festival Plaza which will be launching in December.

The vice-chairman of the Al-Futtaim Group Omar Al Futtaim, said: “This is Al-Futtaim’s first investment in the healthcare sector, which is another milestone in our group’s business diversification efforts.
