Emirates, the world’s leading international airline, has launched its latest ‘Emirates World’ store at Cairo’s luxurious 5A WaterWay. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Emirates’ Chief Commercial Officer Adnan Kazim, Senior Vice President Adil Al Ghaith, and prominent officials, including Her Excellency Mariam Al Kaabi, UAE Ambassador to Egypt, Pilot Montaser Mana, Egypt’s Deputy Minister of Civil Aviation, and Amr Kady, CEO of Egypt Tourism Authority.
Highlighting Egypt’s role in Emirates’ growth, Adnan Kazim reflected on nearly four decades of partnership since the airline’s first Cairo flight in 1986. To date, over 10.6 million passengers have traveled with Emirates from Egypt, cementing the country as a vital hub for aviation, tourism, and trade.
A Cutting-Edge, Immersive Experience
The 332-square-meter Emirates World store provides a dynamic, lounge-inspired setting designed to replicate the airline’s signature inflight luxury. Visitors can experience life-sized displays of the A380 Onboard Lounge and First Class suites. Nine service counters staffed by expert travel advisors offer customised support for planning itineraries, ticketing, and general inquiries.
Innovative technologies enhance the customer journey. An interactive ‘selfie mirror’ allows travelers to capture moments with destination-themed backdrops, while self-service kiosks ensure faster, more efficient booking processes.
Emirates’ investment in Egypt extends beyond retail expansion. The airline employs over 920 Egyptian nationals as cabin crew, helping to promote Egyptian culture and hospitality worldwide. With four daily flights connecting Cairo to Emirates’ global network, the airline reaffirmed its long-term commitment to boosting the country’s tourism and economic growth.
