Phoenix Aviation announced this week that they will launch direct flights between Hua Hin and Phuket later this summer. Tourism organisations such as SKAL international Hua Hin have shown their excitement on this announcement because they feel this will increase Hua Hin’s appeal to international visitors seeking multi-destination holidays in Thailand.
The president of SKAL Hua Hin, Stacey Walton welcomed the news and said that Hua Hin and Phuket are the country’s leading tourism and golf destinations and believes that this flight will be extremely fruitful to rebuild the industry after the challenging situations that they have faced.
Current time travel between the two destinations by road or by air via Bangkok is around 8 hours which will reduce greatly, as well as offering onward international connections through Phuket International Airport which is now served by flights from Europe, Asia and Australia.
The chairman of Phoenix Aviation Thailand, Udorn Olsson believes that this connection between Phuket and Hua Hin serves both international and domestic flights. Hua Hin has since long been the favourite location of Thai people and now these direct flights will bring Hua Hin to a wider audience.
This initiative could only be taken with the support from phoenix-plan with the support of travel agencies and tourism partners. Community support was vital before launching this new plan and scheduling flights.
