Brazil joins the US in Iberia’s bold winter expansion, with the airline launching new flights to Orlando, Recife, and Fortaleza for the 2025-2026 season. The move strengthens Iberia’s transatlantic network and positions Madrid as a central hub connecting Europe with key destinations in North and South America.
Iberia will introduce a nonstop service from Madrid to Orlando starting October 26, 2025. The route will operate four times a week using the Airbus A330, offering 292 seats for leisure and business travelers. Orlando becomes Iberia’s ninth U.S. destination, joining cities like Miami, New York, and Los Angeles. The addition is expected to boost tourism and meet growing demand for direct flights to Florida.
In South America, Iberia is expanding its Brazilian network with new flights to Recife and Fortaleza. Flights to Recife start December 13, 2025, followed by Fortaleza on December 19, 2025. Both routes will be operated using the Airbus A321XLR, accommodating 182 passengers. With these additions, Iberia now serves four Brazilian cities, including Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, improving connectivity and supporting tourism and business travel.
Iberia is also increasing flight frequencies on key routes. New York and Boston will see two daily flights, while Washington D.C. will have three daily services throughout the winter season. In Latin America, the airline will add more frequent flights to Rio de Janeiro, San Juan, Santiago, and Santo Domingo. These adjustments aim to meet rising passenger demand while offering greater flexibility.
The airline is also enhancing its European network during the winter season. Cities such as Amsterdam, Paris, and Rome will receive increased frequencies. Popular winter destinations, including Innsbruck, Rovaniemi, and Tromso, will also see more flights, catering to tourists seeking winter sports and scenic experiences.
Iberia’s winter schedule, running from October 26, 2025, to March 28, 2026, aligns with its Flight Plan 2030 strategy to strengthen global connectivity. By expanding both transatlantic and European routes, Iberia continues to reinforce Madrid as a vital hub and a leading airline in international travel.
With new routes to Orlando, Recife, and Fortaleza, Iberia is responding to growing travel demand. The airline’s winter expansion offers travelers improved convenience, flexibility, and access across key destinations in the Americas and Europe.
