Grocery stores are getting emptied by panicking people and this has made the factories work harder in these times of crisis to produce more for people looking for food and other items of daily use and importance. Many of Kraft Heinz’s factories are working three-shifts to make this thing possible.
CEO of Kraft Heinz, Miguel Patricio, was in all praise of his employees who were working hard to solve the crisis on their level.
Patricio told the reporters that he visited the factories and was delighted to find that the employees found pride in working multiple shifts and morale was at its all-time high. In particular, he visited Oscar Mayer factory in Davenport, Iowa which made is belief strong about workers working multiple shifts and still being happy.
The past decade saw the change in American consumers’ behaviour as they chose organic and fresh products due to health reasons and the orthodox companies with ready to eat and ready to cook products were facing downhill revenues. But the recent panic around the coronavirus has instilled a boost of profits and morals for these companies.
Earlier in February, Kraft Heinz announced that it is working on a new business plan which will be showcased in May. Last year same time, the brand projected loss in the quarterly report and it shocked the whole Wall Street. “Look, our demand is strong. And our cash flow and balance sheet is very strong as well,” he said.
