The highly popular OTT platform Netflix which offers a huge array of series and movies to choose from is now testing the spatial audio feature that is only present in the Apple products, there to it is limited, only in the Apple Airpods Pro and Airpods Max.
These high end products of Apple have already been successful in getting a few of these services for their customers. Within some time, it is expected that Netflix will also be a part of this extravagant package.
Spatial audio is a term specifically designed by Apple for its immersive sound feature. The same feature is also available on the Samsung product Galaxy Buds Pro, they prefer to call it as 360-degree audio.
What this feature offers is unique as it is a combination of the gyro sensors alongside directional audio, so that the head movements and the position of the listener can be detected accurately on both the iPhone and iPad.
So the end result of this combination is that the sound seems to be coming from the right direction, even if you switch your position or you’re continuously moving your head in different directions. It is a special feature and has been implemented vey recently.
To offer such kind of music experience is not available on every app or every form of audio content. It needs to be specifically enabled and that too where it is available. It is however expected, that this will be the future of all audio listening and music and would be inculcated everywhere with time.
This spatial audio is right now being offered at the Apple TV, Disney+ and Hulu. Looking at this list, Netflix seems to be an obvious miss, which is something that Apple has been working on and hopefully we will get to see Spatial Audio on Netflix as well.
Netflix has been working on this feature since the month of December and if reports are to be believed, it will be all ready to roll out this feature by Spring of this year.
