admin Novak Djokovic is on a roll as he has the greatest number of Australian Open titles in the History of the game. He reached the feat after winning against Dominic Thiem on Sunday. This was not his easiest win nor was it a baffling fight. He looked in control and showed why he is the real deal as the game progressed.

This was his second Australian open triumph in the row and his 17th Grand Slam. He is just 2 grand slams behind Rafael and 3 grand slams behind Roger in the list of the greatest number of grand slams.
The “Big Three” have won the last 13 major titles and 56 of the last 67 titles. They are proving time and again that they are a level apart from other counterparts.
He won $4.12 million as the prize money for winning the Australian Open title.
Djokovic was happy a=about his victory but showed condolence towards the lives affected by the Australian Bushfire.
He said, “I would to like to start by saying congratulations for Dominic for the amazing tournament. It wasn’t meant to be tonight.”
He added, “It was a tough match but you were very close to winning it. You have a lot of time left in your career and I’m sure you will win more than one Grand Slam trophy. I would like to thank my team and my family. My brother is here thank you for coming all the way to Australia to spend some quality brother time and hopefully you enjoyed. There was some devastating things to start 2020 with the bushfires, conflicts in some parts of the world, obviously one person that I considered close in my life and a mentor to me, Kobe Bryant passed away.”
Dominic Thiem said in the post-game ceremony, “I would like to start with a huge congrats to Novak and his team.
“Amazing achievement. Unreal what you are doing throughout all these years. You and two other guys have brought men’s tennis to a complete other level. I’m proud and happy that I can compete at this time in the tennis. “I fell short today but I hope I can get the revenge very soon.”
