On Thursday, according to a press release Anna Wintour and Edward Enninful announced that the event “Vogue World” is coming back, only in London on Sept. 14, during London Fashion Week. Instead of a street market-inspired setup (like it had in New York), the upcoming celebration will be a “theatrical production, under the creative direction of Stephen Daldry, celebrating the performing arts — theatre, dance, opera, classical and contemporary music and, of course fashion.”
Information on tickets and how to purchase them have yet to be released, but last year, they were sold to the public for prices ranging from $130 to $3,000, with each tier including different features. (The most expensive perk: meet-and-greets with Vogue editors.)
After discontinuing Fashion’s Night Out in 2013, Vogue seemingly decided to revive the aspects of the infamous event the public missed most. The first-ever Vogue World in September was pitched as a “fashion show-meets-street fair,” with Wintour saying last year: “Fashion is changing, and Vogue is doing something special to celebrate it — [this event] captures the creative spirit of our community now.”
The inaugural event featured Fall 2022 looks from Gucci, Dior, Tory Burch, Dior and more. Prior to supermodels like Bella Hadid, Kendall Jenner and Precious Lee walking the cobblestone runway, guests could pick up freebies from street carts sponsored by retailers like Nordstrom and Ssense, among others.
The London event will be livestreamed globally, and ticket proceeds will benefit a variety of performing arts and education charities in London.
