Recognising opportunities and seizing them promptly is a skill very few people can master. For success in the world of business, this skill is a definite prerequisite. Acing this aspect of business operations among many others is a name that’s synonymous with effective PR solutions- Pallavi Goorha Kashyup. Her relentless entrepreneurial spirit and unique leadership style have made her one of the most extraordinary businesswomen in 2022.
The Journey of a True Leader
Pallavi crafted PG Communication back in 2012 as a boutique agency focusing on external and internal Communication, Public and Media Relations management for a large number of Corporate, SMBs, and individual professionals/brand leaders. Although after completing her Post graduation in Journalism from Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), New Delhi, Pallavi had a successful career working for leading print, on-line media brands like Exchange4media, Mint, Cyber Media, and The Times of India, she wanted to start her own venture. For 18 years, Pallavi was a salaried employee, while her dream to craft her own venture remained nascent. This dream materialised into reality in the form of PG Communication which completed 10 years of excellence in the industry on the 1st of May, 2022. Her vision was to create a venture with an all-women team of experts. Today, PG communication functions with such a team, spread across the metropolitan cities of India.

An Ingenious Leader
Locating opportunity in a specific industry niche, Pallavi was able to create a venture that has proven its mettle time and again. The mid-segment of the market was a perilous zone, a zone lacking the presence of large PR agencies but equally unstable for other PR organisations. However, she took up the challenge like a true industry leader and crafted Corporate Communication services for medium size organisations. “After a detailed analysis of various business opportunities, I zeroed in on Corporate Communication. There was a clear gap in the market place and I decided to set-up a boutique agency for growing medium size companies in different industries,” propounds Pallavi. The flexible structure of work was equally alluring to Pallavi as this meant that she could spend quality time with her only daughter and relish her childhood days, while simultaneously acing the market. For Pallavi, becoming a pioneering entrepreneur is a perpetual learning process that can never be abandoned in favour of a preset formula.
Juggling Multiple Hats
Apart from helming the reins of PG Communication, Pallavi is a woman who successfully juggles various roles with utmost perfection. Splitting her time between work and home, she manages to keep in touch with the senior leadership circles of her clients as well as spend quality time with her daughter. Pallavi also takes time out of her busy schedule to engage in NGO-based social service activities and manage her late mother’s arts and crockery website- stylemantra.com. As a forum leader and event organiser, she zealously engages in various extracurricular activities. Under her guidance, the event team of Rang Ragini organised an annual painting competition called Rang Ragini for kids from the age group of 5 to 16 years.

A Dedicated Approach
Privileging client satisfaction is the key to all operations at PG Communication. As a dedicated professional who strives to deliver the very best to her clients, Pallavi works tirelessly for 8 hours a day. However, if there is an urgent client requirement that needs to be fulfilled, she and the team go above and beyond their usual work schedules to complete deliveries.
The key to remaining ahead of the market competition curve is to understand the needs of the clients, asserts Pallavi. PG Communication has soared from one feat of success to the next by developing services that are embodiments of insights derived from client requests. Given this impeccable legacy of customer service, the venture’s rooster of clients has augmented year after year with client-based referrals.
Inspiration behind the Journey
Pallavi’s relentless spirit advents from her father’s entrepreneurial journey. She is constantly inspired to mirror the zeal, passion, and grit he displayed through the crests and troughs of his 30-year long entrepreneurial journey. Being a part of the client’s success story is yet another key factor that motivates Pallavi and the team at PG Communication. Pallavi recounts the accolades the firm has secured from clients and their senior management teams for the value that PG Communication adds to their brands and how it shapes their growth. This feeling of accomplishment relentlessly fuels her creative drive to outperform her self-set standards of excellence.
Maintaining the Work-Home Equilibrium
A congenial work-life balance is essential if one wishes to continue acing both domains. While Pallavi mentions that the initial days of setting up a business are especially daunting for an entrepreneur, she took steps early on to ensure that an equilibrium between her work and home is in place. To this end, Pallavi started crafting support infrastructures for both these domains. Today, her team has been with her for over a decade and has played a key role in mitigating the stress of a hefty workload when things get hectic. This has allowed Pallavi much-needed respite as she gets enough time to spend with her family.
Overcoming Industry Obstacles
Challenges are a part and parcel of any business venture. As a persevering and determinate entrepreneur, Pallavi faces each such challenge head-on. Keeping anxiety at bay, she focused on how to successfully navigate through the situation to emerge victoriously. As per her practical thinking, she curates a plan best suited to mitigate the situation, collates a team of experts to implement the plan, briefs them about the urgency of the situation, and constantly motivates them until the challenge is completely vanquished. This clarity of vision and razor-sharp focus is something Pallavi has acquired over the years she has spent as an entrepreneur. She knows that challenges will adorn one’s path of success in business and thus, embodies a level-headed approach to effectively eliminate such challenges.
A Team Player
Collaboration is key to a venture’s success according to Pallavi. Leveraging the talents and skills of different team members is only possible when a spirit of collaboration pervades the organisation. As an entrepreneur par-excellence, Pallavi believes in curating a team of inspiring and talented individuals who can collaborate with each other to ideate genius. Innovation, for Pallavi, is not always the by-product of singular thinking. There’s a lot of fine-tuning that goes into innovating and this is can only be achieved through fruitful collaborations.
As the leader of the enterprise, Pallavi strikes to infuse this collaborative culture into PG Communication to effectively breed innovation and change. Under Pallavi’s astute leadership and the dedicated hard work of team members like Disha Malhotra (Senior-Most Resource at PG Communication) and Neha Rana, who’s been working to promote the growth of the agency for the last 8 years, PG Communication has flourished into the industry disrupting force it is today.
