Connie Linder: An Innovative Thought Leader Contributing to Global Sustainable Development

Connie Linder, Founder of ‘Intengine.com’, provides a stage for facilitating healthier personal and professional procurement. Mother of GreenPages Directory (branded to Intengine) as she knew there was a requirement for an efficient, pro-business and pro-solutions platform that allowed people to form  healthier informed decisions, and she recognized that changes needed to be made within the marketplace and that’s when the first platform, was born.

Connie founded Intengine to make innovative, socially and environmentally responsible products and services more widely accessible. As a Leader and strategist, Connie is recognized together of Canada’s top leaders and sustainability professionals who have been involved in building successful companies in the clean energy space. Connie has an MBA from the University of British Columbia, and securities and insurance licenses from the Canadian Securities Institute. She is additionally a licensed personal development counsellor, and she studied business in Sweden, Germany and at the renowned HEC Paris.

Embracing Challenges:

The toughest part of her journey was holding the dream for Intengine, when it was difficult to raise money, Connie expresses. Years ago, when she realized there is a necessity for a web aggregator for her sector of expertise, she didn’t have anyone to go to who had already done it. She had to attract the right people which took a while. She worked on other contracts through her sustainable consulting company, Insight Creative Communications to pay the bills to keep Intengine going on, Connie shares.

In this competitive and brutal industry, she remembers most of the occasions where she has been the sole woman in the board room. She has often faced the hierarchic nature on the work place in her earlier career. But sooner she refused being the victim, and trusting her instincts; insight about people -whom to listen to, whom to trust; what to say ‘no’ to and prioritizing what to figure on were some major decisions she made as leader.

Connie states her insight on women empowerment and leadership, “You are empowered once you align yourself with a greater good, and work to be your best self. Look inward and not outwards, and never allow yourself to be a victim of circumstances”. Adding she says, “Great companies are built and are not born. It takes perseverance and resilience. Love is the core. Pragmatic action is the way forward.”

Setting touchstone:

In her advice to fellow entrepreneurs and associate woman leaders, Connie states, “Respect yourself and check out to bring your best self to your work and be specialized at what you are doing. Don’t allow yourself to get stuck feeling like you are a victim of your circumstances. Step up and write your own story. I think that the universe supports those who align with positive goals that are good for humanity and have the faith that big, beautiful dreams can come true.”

She additionally underlines the very fact that entrepreneurs got to have vision, strength, patience, focus, and perseverance. Indulgent entrepreneurs need to base their vision on a foundation of integrity and an intention for outcomes that benefit people, and the environment. Facing everything with a robust vision and possessing the resilience to keep going despite challenges is of utmost importance.

Motivation to work:

According to Connie each of one has a crucial role as facilitators and educators for the new economy. Connie is also focused on her work as a co-founder of Agora Energy Technologies to bring this important technology to life. “I don’t think I will ever think I am ‘done’, I think I will keep adding higher visions with bigger goals,” this attitude always inspires her towards her goal.

The level of innovation starts with the name itself: Intengine blends ‘intention’ and ‘engine’, making it the engine for good purpose expresses Connie.

While asking her what can be often expected from her organization in the upcoming years, Connie asserts, “Growth, Growth, Growth. We will be the centralized place individuals and businesses will come to for the new economy.”

Future Endeavors:

Connie appreciates how contented she is with the way her life is right now. She unfalteringly promises to figure incessantly on her dream that Intengine will connect to all those seeking wellness to live with those who have the solutions, in order that the world becomes happier, healthier and more stable place to live.

Being a responsible citizen with a cause to create a sustainable environment, Connie considers herself responsible and ready to answer the questions of “Where can we drop off this waste product? Where can we discover a replacement widget that uses less water, has more recycled content, uses less energy, etc.?”

Connie is currently working on Intengine’s platform to enhance its functionality and visibility, while working on strategic collaborations with content providers and accreditation agencies to grow and scale the business and maximize its effectiveness for the company’s members. Connie feels determined after seeing her vision coming to life. She also understands that with progress, comes challenges. “My organization is transforming with new people with different skillsets.” Adding s to the statement she states, “Ensuring that we attract the right talent with synergistic personalities that work together can be challenging,” states Connie.

Connie has received numerous amounts for great work in her field.
