Buckingham Palace Is Hosting A Leonardo Da Vinci Escape Room Throughout This Summer

LONDON: Buckingham Palace hostingan exhibition called “Leonardo da Vinci: A Life in Drawing” will be opening in The Queen’s Gallery and will feature a display of 200 of da Vinci’s original drawings in honor of the 500th anniversary. This will be the largest exhibition of da Vinci’s work in over 65 years

It’s an invitation for public to participate in a fun and clever escape room that’s inspired by the works of Leonardo da Vinci.

The escape room, “Escape Room: Leonardo Artmergency!” will coincide with the art exhibition, and will be open on Fridays and Saturdays from through October 4.

Teams of four to eight players will be challenged to unlock clues that are hidden within the drawings displayed inside the room. While it’s not required that players need to know anything about Leonardo da Vinci before entering the room, they do have to think creatively, be observant, and have a particular love of puzzles and riddles in order to beat the clock.

Basically, you don’t need to know about da Vinci, but you should be able to think like him.

Tickets are £150 (about $190 USD) per team, and there are four start times each day. All players must be 14 and older in order to participate.

As all of these fun activities are going on, Buckingham Palace is still currently undergoing an extensive, $500-million renovation that is not expected to be complete until 2027. Once it is, however, the royal home will be grander than ever.
