The resurgence has been most noticeable in the busiest airports around the world, which collectively handled 10% of global traffic, amounting to 806 million passengers. This figure marks a 19.8% increase from 2022 and a slight rise of 0.7% compared to 2019. The top ten busiest airports, which include well-known hubs like Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International and Dubai International Airport, illustrate the dynamic shifts and strategic expansions within the global aviation sector.
Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport notably ranked among these top airports, underscoring its critical role in connecting travellers across South Asia and supporting India’s ambition to become a key international transfer hub.
