US, Mexican states uniting for a higher education

The U.S. state of Nevada’s higher education system is associating with its counterpart in the Mexican state of Tamaulipa (tah-mow-LEE’-pahs).

Thom Reilly, Chancellor of the Nevada system informs a memorandum of understanding between officials of the two states’ education systems will provide new educational opportunities while building greater cultural understanding and fostering academic collaborations.

A declaration of the recent partnership states the relationship will include designing dual-degree programs, offering language courses, establishing student and personnel exchanges and collaborating on training of faculty and students in bilingual studies, mechatronics, and other disciplines.

The Nevada system involves universities and various colleges.
