The sports brand giant Adidas has recently unveiled a new launch titled “watch us move” which aims to celebrate women from different and diverse walks of life. This is going to a long-term initiative for Adidas.
The first launch under this new initiative includes compressional activewear designed keeping women in mind. It has leggings, tights, sports bras, swimwear among others. What makes this collection unique and new is the fact that it has been designed by an all-female team. A lot of research was put into this line before formally launching it. Insights were gathered from athletes and women as to what they consider to be comfortable.
Motion research and body mapping was done by the team before developing this new line of clothing for women. The clothing has been made to support a women’s body and knit technology has been engineered for the same.
Not only this, Primegreen has been utilised by the team to make these garments. It is made of 40 percent recycled material so as to preserve the environment. Aeroready fabric has also been used for all these garments. These fabrics are exceptional as they help to keep the body dry.
The general manger for Adidas also said that before making clothing and launching this new line, they made the effort of talking to women from all across the world. they were asked as to what they feel is missing in the clothing of women and what can be done to improve that.
This new initiative of adidas is not only related to garments rather it is a fitness series that is available on Youtube. Elite athletes are invited to the channel to talk about their fitness regimes and the inspiration behind their relentless urge for fitness.
Not only this, fitness enthusiasts from the underrepresented communities are also called on the channel to ensure equitable representation and to make certain of the fact that no one feels left out.
This new initiative is being praised all over the world because it recognizes a woman’s passion for fitness.
