admin The Japanese firm Hitachi has now bought a software firm GlobalLogic for $9.6 billion. The deal has been made by Japanese company because it is now planning on expanding its digital services. It is already very popular and has huge profits from the sales being done.
Almost all companies in the world now are looking towards digitalisation and this move by Hitachi is towards the direction as well. The cost that Hitachi will be paying is divided into two sections, one the $8.5 billion as cost and the other money as debt that the US firm had already taken.
The tech offering by the US Company GlobalLogic are very advanced and would offer a good digital footprint to the already popular brand. This will help Hitachi to offer its services through an online portal which will also lead to it acquiring many new customers through the same.
Hitachi already has a good team of engineers but with this new firm, it will add on to its employee base. The digital brand of Hitachi Lumada will be the one most focused on and the new firm will look to strengthen the portfolio of Lumada only.
The company in a statement also said that digital transformations are continuing everywhere and with the digitalisation, the data driven business will also increase manifold.
GlobalLogic as a firm has also been growing steadily and its demand has increased exponentially. In such a scenario, the two companies together could provide the best of services and digital experiences to the consumer. It is expected to dominate the markets, once they actually start working. GlobalLogic has around 20,000 employees situated in different parts, in around 14 countries. Bloomberg Intelligence senior analyst also remarked that this acquisition is a good move by Hitachi and that it makes complete sense.
Hundreds of clients will also be added to Hitachi with this acquisition.
