The tech giant Facebook has recently unveiled a new app called Bars which follows a strikingly similar pattern as that of TikTok. Prior to this, the social media platform Instagram had also launched a similar feature on its app like Reels.
These short video platforms allowing voiceovers and acting over pre-recorded videos are highly popular with the people these days. Facebook by launching its app took the decision of taking this trend up a notch.
There would be pre-recorded beats and sounds available on the app for people to access. Videos up to 30 60 seconds will be allowed as opposed to the Reels feature which allows only very short videos of around 25-30 seconds.
There would be advanced features available on the app and the people using the app would themselves be choosing whether they are to use beats of the beginner or the advanced level. The advanced level will allow you access to difficult pre-recorded beats.
The autotune feature will also be available to the users alongside studio quality vocal effects. It will give the artists a chance to showcase their talent with the best of features that were unavailable to them before this.
The app for now is only in closed beta and the users are not being allowed access into it. However, the enthusiastic artists have been given a chance to choose their username already and to take a place in the que for when the app finally becomes accessible to the users. App store has already listed the app and there is an Instagram profile that has been set up by Bars already.
With all this doing rounds, one can expect the app to be become fully usable and accessible to the users in a very short span of time. The app is also being called Rapper’s Delight.
The people who are already using either TikTok or the Instagram Reels are looking up to this new app for the advanced features that it claims to offer. Moreover, with TikTok banned in a number of countries, this could very well be the respite people have been looking for.
