Glimpse Of The CMO
A developer early in her career, Ingrid holds a BA in Math with a concentration in Computer Science from San Jose State University. Before H2O AI, Ingrid had served in this capacity in other organizations. She has headed global marketing teams to not only help them build brands, but also develop demand and grow developer communities. She has assisted many startups as a brand and demand expert. Burton served as the CMO at Hortonworks, where she drove a brand and marketing transformation, and also developed ecosystem programs to further enable the growth of the company. Prior to that, Burton was the co-creator of the Cloud strategy at SAP, where she headed HANA and Analytics marketing. She also commandeered outreach for developers. Before that, she was also the CMO at Silver Spring Networks and Plantronics. She has also spent 20 years at Sun Microsystems as the head of marketing of the company and was at the helm of Java marketing to nurture a Java developer community, led open source endeavors, and drove several strategic and product initiatives.
