Verizon Communications is working alongside the National Football League to make 5G experiences for technology fans.
The US telecommunications giant will be the ‘official 5G innovation partner’ of the NFL with a two-year agreement.
What will be the new viewing experiences? Some of the plans include multi-angle camera positions and in-stadium feeds so those viewing at home can be closer to the action.
“If you deliver the right experience for our fans, the revenue will follow,” NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell stated in an interview with Bloomberg.
“To us, it’s more important to create those experiences, use the technology, use the innovation, create those opportunities for fans to engage with our game in different ways.”
This NFL deal is about 31 big stadiums’ worth of high-profile for Verizon to show that off.
