Leverage Edu, a prominent education guidance platform, has partnered with Airbnb to offer international students convenient temporary accommodation solutions as they transition to studying abroad. This initiative is designed to assist students heading to popular study destinations such as the UK, USA, Australia, Canada, and European Union countries, providing them with a comfortable stay while they secure permanent housing.
Supporting Students in Transition
The partnership aims to ease the process for students who may need temporary housing during various stages of their journey. This could be when they’re evaluating universities or after they’ve arrived at their destination but haven’t finalised their long-term housing arrangements. As Amanpreet Bajaj, General Manager of Airbnb India, Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, explained, Airbnb’s diverse accommodation options offer a “comfortable, home-like environment during this crucial period.” The service helps students reduce stress and adapt to their new surroundings without the pressure of finding permanent housing immediately.
Integration with University Application Process
Leverage Edu will promote Airbnb’s short-term rental options throughout its platforms, ensuring that students are aware of these options at key stages of their university application and preparation process. This collaboration means students can plan their housing arrangements in advance, and the Airbnb options will be accessible through the Leverage Edu mobile app. Akshay Chaturvedi, Founder and CEO of Leverage Edu and Fly Homes, expressed excitement about this partnership, highlighting that it will enhance the “touchdown experience” for students across various countries.
This initiative is expected to benefit around 15,000 students using the Leverage Edu platform over the next year. By combining Leverage Edu’s expertise in guiding students with Airbnb’s extensive accommodation network, the partnership offers a comprehensive solution to a common challenge faced by students moving abroad.
In summary, this collaboration represents a significant step in supporting international students, ensuring they have access to comfortable and reliable housing as they embark on their academic journeys, making their transition to a new country smoother and more welcoming.
