Billie Eilish performed at the 2020 Brit Awards on Tuesday (18th February). Just a few days ago she swept the big four Grammys and became the highlight of this year’s Grammy. She became the youngest person to win the best album of the year award.
She is just 18 and awards are not looking leave her any time soon. She broke another record when she wrote and sang for the latest James Bond movie, “No Time To Die” as she became the youngest person to do so.
Her brother, Finneas, and she had recorded for the James Bond franchise. She writes songs with her brother in a small room, which she told in the Grammy speech.
On stage, at the Brits Awards, she was singing while sitting on a stool alongside Finneas, who was playing the piano.
She got Grammy for Best Song, Best Album, Best New Artist and Best Record. The year 2020 has been very memorable for her brother and herself and it looks like her career is going to get a bigger boost from here.
She spoke about “No Time To Die” in a recent interview with BBC London. She said, “I remember at the beginning of last year we kind of told our whole team, ‘Hey, if any Bond things come up, we want to be involved if we can possibly be, ‘Whatever we have to do we will do.'” Her brother-cum-producer, Finneas said: “We really did not take the opportunity lightly, and we really just tried to work as hard as we could to prove ourselves worthy of that. We really wanted to make something that didn’t feel like we were trying to copy other great songs, so it was really helpful to listen to these songs.”
