The luxury company Balenciaga is all set to debut its new fall collection through something unique and never done before, that is, through the medium of a video game. This collection will be available on the 6th of December.
The videogame is titles, Afterworld: The Age of Tomorrow and is set in the year 2031. The hero of the game is seen going through multiple zones by performing several tasks assigned to him. This video game is not very detail-oriented and can fit in almost every game but it serves its main purpose of advertising the fall 2021 collection.
Like every other industry in the world right now, even the fashion industry has a herculean task at hand. Making sure that their collections are debuted in the most unique manner and one that incites excitement amongst the masses while in-person launches are impossible.
Before this for the summer pre-collection, Balenciaga had already adopted a novel way by showcasing the collection through a video based on the song, I wear my sunglasses at night.
According to speculation, this particular ensemble of the luxury brand is all about human destiny and therefore the format of a video game. The video game shows a healthy return to the balance that is required to sustain life between nature and the industry and how they can move harmoniously.
While in the fashion industry, this may be a new invention but we have seen that a lot of companies have chosen to use this mode of video games for their launches in order to make them more unique and to make excitement grow. An example of the same will be 2017 Porsche launch of its 2018 GTS RS where it was announced in a conference that this model would be on the cover of the Forza Motorsport 7.
All clothes in this collection would be from a futuristic point of view. This would give the Kering-owned brand an edge in the market where it continues to be Kerings crown jewel alongside Gucci. The excitement for this collection is sure at its very peak.
