Kingpins are back the educational conference dedicated to the fashion students and it is to be held in Amsterdam on April 24th.
Andrew Olah, founder of Kingpins Transformers and Kingpins show said, “The response (to the first edition of Kingpins Transformers: Ed) was overwhelming. More than 300 students from 30 universities and fashion programs across Europe attended and received an in-depth and unvarnished crash course on the state of the denim supply chain. Our goal is to prepare students to enter our industry and hit the ground running with a clear understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing the jeans industry. If we want to change the future of the denim industry, we must equip the young professionals entering the industry with the best information and insight.”
The host of this event is Mohsin Sajid who is the founder of Denim History and Mariette Hoitink, of HTNK and House of Denim. The sponsors of the event are Saitex, Lenzing and FibreTrace.
The long-awaited list of the speakers is going to be released soon and there are going to be companies like Lenzing, Tonello, DyStar and Kings of Indigo at the event.
The event is going to focus on the environmental, economic and social changes faced by the denim industry and the conference is going to help the students in understanding the problems and issues faced by the denim supply chain. It will also help students in finding and knowing about the opportunities and room for improvement and innovation in the denim industry.
This event is exclusive to the global fraternity of students and is going to cater to the need of students interested in the fashion industry. Previously the event was held at Ravensbourne University in London on October 18th. This is its second event and is supposed to be big.
