Dixie Chicks comeback with a bang after Fourteen years of their last. Trios have announced a brand-new album “Gaslighter” along with the release of its powerful single, title-track. The Dixie Chicks powered with Frontwoman Natalie Maines, Emily Strayer and Martie Maguire, just like the old-timey montage of propaganda clips.
The three-minute, 45-second, tranquil track dropped on Wednesday and which was co-produced by the Dixie Chicks and Jack Antonoff. Till Thursday morning, the music video has crossed more than 1 million views on YouTube.
Group’s upcoming tour dates page reads, “Long Time Gone…But Coming Soon”. Gaslighter going to be the Dixie Chicks eighth studio album in their three-decade career. Though the tracklist has not yet been declared, it is set to feature 12 new songs.
The Chick’s last album was “Taking the Long Way,” released in the year 2006. Which hit the top of the Billboard 200 charts and 526,000 copies were sold in its first week of the sales. The members of Dixie Chicks took a brief interval between 2010 and 2013 to spend time with their families.
In that mean time, Maguire and Strayer, who are sisters, formed a new pack called the Court Yard Hounds. They released their first self-titled album in year 2010 and a second piece, Amelita, in 2013. Two months prior, Maines kicked off her successful solo career with first and only album, Mother (2013).
