admin The British Fashion Council has announced that this year Clearpay will be the principal partner of the London Fashion Week. This season the London Fashion Week will start its events from the 19th of February.
Clearpay is a buy now and pay later financial service. As all operations are being performed remotely, this announcement was also made on a Zoom call by Caroline Rush who is the chief executive officer of the British Fashion Week.
This deal with the payments services has been made for a period of two years and this decision has primarily been made to support the emerging and upcoming talent in the industry.
They will be able to showcase their talent and have the option of paying later when feasible for them. with this, they believe that no talent will go to waste and all the untapped potential of the newcomers will be realised.
Designer brands in particular will be more accessible as they are the ones with the maximum retail prices. This is a part of the integration of inclusivity and promoting diversity in the fashion arena.
The co-founder of Clearpay also expressed that after a period of almost 12 months, they have been given the opportunity to invest into a venture that will matter.
Clearpay has already been working with the London Fashion Week since the last two years and now an extention of the same has been made. They also feel that by their platform they will be able to support a lot of people and London Fashion Week in itself is a very big platform.
Although the mode of buying first and paying later has faced criticism from people in the industry, it is now largely becoming popular. Even the government has now extended its support to these services by regulating the tax agreements.
The BFC through Clearpay hopes to help hone the talent and the industry. Not only this, others are also set to benefit from this flexible mode of payment as long-term debts will no longer be a cause for worry.
