The Meatless Farm Co. has now entered into new markets in Europe. The UK-based firm was founded in 2016 by Morten Toft Bech and has gained famed for its alternative burger and chicken products. The firm used its social media accounts to announce its expansion into Denmark and Netherlands. Reports also suggest that CEO of the brand, Toft Bech is currently looking for an additional investments of $70 million USD. He plans to raise this money for further international expansion by the first quarter of 2021.
Retailing the Products
The company is headquartered in the English city of Leeds, with offices in Amsterdam, New York, and Singapore. The products currently listed for sales include frozen mince, burgers, Mediterranean sausages, chicken-free nuggets, and schnitzel. The Meatless Farm will be making its products available through Nemlig (an online retailer in Denmark) and through the supermarket app -Crisp in the Netherlands. It will also be providing its quality products in Germany through the digital platform MyEnso. The firm plans to expand further with a capital infusion open to both private and public investors during the first quarter of 2021.
International Presence
The Meatless Farm has already made quite a formidable reputation for itself. The firm is flourishing in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, the UAE and Hong Kong. The growing demand for meat alternatives have made the products sold by Meatless Farm an instant success. As more people move away from the consumption of meat for various reasons, such enterprises are expected to proliferate and grow further in the near future.
Kasper Vesth, General Manager of Meatless Farm in North America was quoted speaking on the expansion. He said, “With appetites for plant-based foods only growing, we are happy to be expanding our footprint across the board and bring more Meatless Farm products to more people. As a plant-based food company that is growing exponentially across the globe, we know what an influential market the US is, and we look forward to making even more announcements about distribution and retailer partnerships in the near future.” Currently, Meatless Farm has partnered with Whole Foods, Fresh Thyme, DashMart and Fresh Direct in America.
