5G is the fifth-generation technology standard for broadband cellular networks, which cellular phone companies began deploying worldwide in 2019, and is the planned successor to the 4G networks which provide connectivity to most current cell phones. Verizon 5G utilises millimetre wave technology. These millimetre waves exist on an extremely high frequency and are considered millimetre waves because the wavelength range between 1 and 10 mm. 5G is based on a method of modulating a digital signal across several different channels to reduce interference. By 2025, 5G will account for 21% of mobile internet connections. This is a significant jump, up from less than 10% last year, as per the latest predictions by the GSMA. The main driving factor of this rapid adoption will be the significant investment by mobile operators, which will dedicate more than 80% of their capital expenditure on building 5G infrastructure between now and 2025, according to the telco industry body prediction.
Computing power
More and more businesses are now adopting cloud solutions as it is the on-demand availability of computer system resources, especially data storage and computer power, without direct active management by the user. The cloud offers faster innovation, flexible resources, and economies of scale. The internet acts as an invisible cable that connects everything. Hardware failures do not result in data loss because of networked backups. Cloud computing uses remote resources, saving organisations the cost of servers and other equipment. The number of cloud storage providers online are growing day by day for example, Instagram, Facebook, Gmail etc. Cloud computing makes it easier to share files with several people at the same time and helps to store all types of information in the cloud, including files and emails.
