CapIntel raises $11M in a series A financing round led by New York-based FinTech Collective. CapIntel is a financial technology company that serves financial advisors. Over 10,000 financial advisors are currently using the Toronto based FinTech startup’s wealth management sales platform to give more than two million households with investment advice and services. The company will accelerate its growth strategy by using the funding it received from Fengate Asset Management and LiUNA Pension Fund of Central and Eastern Canada (LPFCEC). CapIntel is a Toronto based company established in 2019 which helps financiers streamline their workflow and enhance fund analysis.
The CEO and founder, James believes that this funding round will help fuel a steady growth for the company and help them fulfill the goal to build wealth for everyone.
“We have more than doubled our assets under management compared to the past decade,” stated Brooks Gibbins, FinTech Collective managing partner. “It has crossed the $100ten mark in 2020, and with this, the advisor community is slowly and steadily getting back its momentum.”
“We are getting into a golden era of augmenting digital tools that advisors can use across their client experiences. This is particularly useful in an increasingly complex market backdrop of persistent volatility and expansive investment optionality.”
CapIntel has entered into a partnership with The Pacific Financial Group (TPFG), a US based financial group. This is part of their recent expansion into the country.
As part of this merger, the firm will work alongside the US asset manager to develop enhanced investment proposals for advisers.
Rockwood, in a comment on the partnership, said that their partnership with TPFG is an example of the market proof point that not only indicates the value of our product, but also points out to a larger trend of financial firms looking for tools to help advisors prosper in a highly digital world. “We are in a really unique situation where we feel that we are at the frontlines of a larger industry change, a real focus on customer engagement, real focus on investment products, talking about investment products, delivering more holistic wealth management.”
