Creating value in e-tailing since 2011, Ergode, born in Texas, is a go-to name for Direct-to-consumer (D2C) brands looking for streamlined scale-ups. As a retailer for its D2C brands, the company aids online sellers with its e-commerce expertise, marketing strategies, and AI-powered tools. By partnering with 2500+ brands, the company is selling their products on popular marketplaces such as Amazon and Walmart. Its excellent operation and rationalised delivery processes have helped it become one of the top 25 sellers on Amazon.

Meeting the Leader

Ergode has been envisioned to be one of the leading global e-commerce platforms by its Founder and CEO, Mr. Rupesh Sanghvi. Along with a B.E Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Mumbai and an M.S degree in the same domain from Texas A&M University-Kingsville, he further honed his leadership skills with a UC Irvine Certification Course in Project Management. This helped him master various project management aspects like risks, documentation, team building, cost management, and capital budgeting when managing a new project. Rupesh is also a member of the Entrepreneurs’ Organisation (EO) Houston comprising over 14,000 prominent business owners across the world.

Our primary focus is to grow our D2C brand’s business and help them succeed in the e-commerce industry – Rupesh Sanghvi

Rupesh’s expertise and in-depth knowledge of automation and optimisation that he gathered during his years of engagement in the field contributed to Ergode’s success. He believes that there’s a ‘solution’ to every problem, irrespective of how insurmountable it may initially seem.

Thriving Story of Transformation

Ergode started its journey by identifying that university students have a lot of problems getting their study books from the nearby states. To facilitate the availability of such study material, they got the books from different locations. After rigorous research, they were able to create a vendor base and open its first bookseller account on Amazon that culminated into the firm’s D2C business line. As the organisation matured, it expanded its operations to brand aggregation, where it acquired D2Cs to initiate them into the e-commerce space.

Building an Inclusive Workplace

For higher employee satisfaction, the company ensures the creation of a diverse and inclusive workplace. The Ergode’s management team strives to attain this goal with its myriad employee engagement programs that make team members feel like they are part of a single unit. Each milestone of a member’s life is collectively celebrated at Ergode. Whether it’s a birthday or a work-related achievement, such collective celebrations help boost the morale of associates while also enhancing the collaborative and supportive culture of the firm. Going beyond the general set standards of employee satisfaction programs, the management at Ergode also has an astute educational program to help employees pursue further educational degrees and training.

Ergode’s Endeavours for Employee Development

Ergode has crafted employee development programs. Ergode’s educational program ZEAL, covers a part of the cost employees spend on pursuing their higher educational aspirations and building their educational credentials. Zeal has transformed the lives of many ‘ZEALionaires’, helping them achieve their educational dreams. The firm’s employee empowerment program- The Voice – is designed to empower employees while simultaneously maintaining the integrity of the firm. Ergode encourages its employees to monitor process violations within the organisation. This ingenious program helps foster trust and transparency in the firm, while simultaneously minimising risks.

Focusing on an Ideal Workplace

The company focuses on being viewed as an employer’s brand first. “During our founding, we emphasised on being an energetic workplace,” asserted Rupesh. Ergode puts the spotlight on work environment enrichment and employee engagement to build a solid foundation for its operational culture. “We connected every employee with a purpose and a sense of ownership,” he added. The fruits of this strong foundation have enabled Ergode to sustain productivity, even during the challenging pandemic days. Reflecting on the importance of work-life balance, Rupesh said, “Employees deserve their own space. We welcomed the hybrid working model and got a productive output. We feel proud that Ergodians have mastered the art of both hustle and rejuvenation.”

Future Ahead

At a time when the market is flooded with resellers, the online brands selling on different marketplaces are facing challenges such as MAP violations, unauthorised selling, missed commitments, and others. To tackle the scenario, Rupesh reflects, “The industry needs brand aggregators who have the right technological backbone needed to master customer engagement and logistic networking. These aggregators acquire brands to fuel the efforts of growing them in the e-commerce space.”

“This space is currently shaping up. With our experience, we find that this is the space we should be moving into,” elucidated Rupesh.
